Fantastic story. Good on you both. Frances and I are a couple making cider in Aotearoa/NZ with a similar back story. Fell in love and make cider! Our name was a bit contraversial too. Teepee does not refer to a native american tent but phonetically my given name initials T and P. Our children thought it was a a piss poor name (literally )but the public liked it . So it stuck. We name the cider after Frances’ father

Don’t knock it until you try it. Sounds like a crime and a waste of 2 drinks. I sampled it last year just to slag it off. I ended leaving Germany with 5 slabs of 24 tins and regret not bringing more home. Id travel back just to restock. I’ve tried to purchase it in UK but cant and when lockdown finished im bringing a car full of the stuff back 🙂
